Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating today!

We have had a lovely time celebrating it in class. We have made some divas and Rangoli patterns. Have a look at our work below.

Let us know if you make anything at home.

A fantastic trip to the Natural History Museum

We have had some photos of a recent trip to the Natural History Museum shared with us by one of our Sunflowers.

We have been reading the book 'Oliver's Milkshake' this week. We have done so much work on this book. We talked about different foods and whether they are healthy or not. We have used our sense of taste to try different foods and see if they are salty, sweet, sour or bitter.

We also wrote recipes for milkshakes and then made them later in the week. Here is our recipe if you would like to try it at home.

Ingredients:

Milk
Fruit

Equipment:

Blender
Knife
Cups

Instructions:

1. Chop the fruit into small pieces.
2. Put 1 cup of fruit into the blender.
3. Measure 1 cup of milk.
4. Put the milk into the blender.
5. Mix.
6. Taste your lovely milkshake.

Enjoy!

Opening of our train station

A big thank you to Mr Wright who came and opened our train station today. We managed it just before the downpour and I'm really looking forward to using it on Monday.

This week it's poetry week!

Here's one of my favourite poems, what's yours?

Bunnies

Every little bunny
Has a habit that is funny.

It doesn't matter where he goes
He always wrinkles up his nose.
This week we have been talking about our families and showing photos of our family members. We have read the story 'So much' to fit in with this. We've also been looking at 2D and 3D shapes, learning their names and their properties. Can you say what these shapes are below?
