This week

This week, we have started our rehearsals for the Christmas play 'Fishing for Stars'. It's going to be a lot of fun so we hope you can come and join us on either 9th December or the 10th December.

Our book this week was 'You'll soon grow into them Titch'. We had a great time acting out the story and changing the names of the characters e.g. You'll soon grow into them, Miss Hurley.

We've also been speaking about what we want to be when we grow up. We learnt that Miss Pembroke wanted to look after elephants at London zoo when she was a child. Here were some of Sunflower class's ideas:

What do you want to be?

Remembrance day

It was great to make poppies to mark the 100th anniversary of WW1. Have a look at what some of us made at school.

This week

This week, we've had a great time making firework pictures and talking about bonfire night. Here are some of them below:

Did any of you go to a bonfire night? What did you see?

We've also been really interested in superheroes after Mr Bromfield made Sunflower class a fantastic Spiderman. We've been doing lots of creative activities (making masks, wristbands, finger puppets) and also lots of writing about our favourite superheroes.

This week we have learnt the letters S, A, T, and P. Can you find some items around your home that start with these letters? Tomorrow you will receive your own 'sound bag' with these letters in, so you can practice them.
