This week we have been looking at the different parts of a plant, labelling pictures and doing observational drawings. We have also planted sunflower seeds and we will be writing diaries showing what happens to them over the next few weeks.

    I liked planting the seeds and seeing the shoots grow.
    I can label the leaf, flower, stem, root and petal.

    Thomas was able to identify all the different parts. We also went in the garden and looked for the different parts on real plants. When asked why we couldn't see any roots he replied : "because they are hidden in the ground".
